Asus RTX 3060 Ti TUF game. Asus has redesigned its Amp coolers and the TUF Gaming 3 fan cooler appears across the line. While not the same due to different memory and VRM cooling requirements, this great heatsink uses 3 fans and heat pipes to dissipate the 220W output of the RTX 3060ti. The stack of fins almost fills the thickness of the 2.7 card slot and takes up most of the card space. The center fan counter rotates, reducing turbulence and increasing airflow with less noise. There’s also a fan shutdown so the fans don’t run at all until GPU temperatures hit 55 ° C, and it mimics the Founder’s Edition’s design by allowing air to flow through. through the open PCB and the back plate to the end of the board.

Asus’ upcoming RTX 3060 Ti is a huge step up from the company’s best model (ROG Strix). Drop the second eight-pin power connector, which will likely limit your overclocking headroom. (The card is clocked at “just” 1785 MHz.) The TUF has a three-fan cooler, but it is slightly smaller, with 2.7 slots. Pricing for this card is a bit lower, $ 489. This makes it, in our eyes, a lower value option than the ROG Strix Edition, given the mere $ 10 difference. Asus will also offer a non-overclocked version of this card: TUF Strix RTX 3060 Ti Gaming. It will be clocked at 1695 MHz, but again, we don’t have the price for this card.

ASUS cooler design has been widely hailed as one of the quietest and coolest in the RTX 3080, so you won’t have a problem with the lower 120W heat output of the RTX 3060 Ti. The cover is made entirely of aluminum, which helps dissipate heat and gives the board a premium look and feel, and there’s even a BIOS switch that lets you run quietly at low fan speeds. or in OC / performance mode with more aggressive cooling. You can customize the RGB in the TUF logo to help the card stand out or blend in with the rest of your build. The Asus TUF RTX 3060 Ti is the model to look for if you want the lowest noise and the best thermal performance.

MSI Gaming GeForce RTX 3060 Ti...

  • Video Memory: 8GB GDDR6
  • Memory Interface: 256-bit

MSI has released a number of variations of the RTX 3060 Ti, but the Gaming X Trio is the one with the highest boost clock at 1830 MHz. Only ASUS’s ROG STRIX claims a higher boost clock, and that comes at a price. in which an RTX 3070 will be cheaper and perform better anyway. While this is not a direct indicator of card performance, it does show that MSI is confident in the quality of the GPU core that goes into this card. The cooler is a 3-fan design that uses MSI’s TORX 4.0 fans to force air through the cooler in the most efficient way possible and is almost as quiet as ASUS’s TUF design. However, it is a very large card measuring 323mm long, 140mm wide, and 56mm deep. So if you have a smaller case, we have a second performance recommendation for you: the EVGA FTW3 Ultra Gaming.

MSI’s flagship RTX 3060 Ti graphics card includes a massive three-fan thermal solution with the company’s Torx 4.0 fans and a thick aluminum heat sink. (Rivals the Colorful Vulcan card in size, at 12.72 inches long and 5.5 inches tall.) The card has the potential to be among the fastest RTX 3060 Ti cards on the market, as it is clocked at 1830 MHz. This card also has two eight-pin power connectors, which opens the door for further overclocking. MSI has created a second variation of this card that removes the “X” from its name and is clocked at 1755 MHz lower, but is otherwise identical. The Gaming X Trio model is priced at $ 469.99, and the lower-end model will likely have a slightly lower list price, but MSI has yet to share that price.

The 3060 Ti is fantastic. It’s the right card at the right price for anyone who doesn’t play exclusively in 4K. It offers devastating 1080p and 1440p performance, and is a great 4K option for DLSS games or if you turn off some graphics options. And from what I’ve seen, it’s close to the 3070 in performance, but at a $ 100 discount. And that makes it the best card under $ 500 yet.
