The Redragon K552 is a decent mechanical gaming keyboard with clickable tactile switches. Its compact ten-keyless design is simple yet functional, and its build quality can rival keyboards twice its price. Unfortunately, the keyboard is pretty stripped down when it comes to extra features, and blue clickable switches might not be the best choice for quiet offices, but given its budget price, it’s still a good option for those who are looking for a basic mechanical keyboard with admirable performance.

It has 87 non-conflicting keys as well as 12 multimedia keys. This is seriously built like a tank and is really over-designed in a good way that makes it super durable and splash proof. It’s designed for longevity, and longevity is what you’ll get with this Redragon K552. The keycaps are made of ABS plastic with printed captions. After a certain period of play the keycaps will start to glow and the legends will likely start to fade. This is not unique to the K552 as many other branded keyboards will suffer the same fate. The build quality of the Redragon is surprisingly good for its price, really solid and heavy.

It’s a great option if you’re on a budget and looking for blue switches, and it’s surprisingly well built for the price. You actually get a lot of keyboard for a low price; solid build, RGB options, good blue switches, TKL small footprint and even claimed to be splash proof This is a buy for someone looking to get into mechanical keyboards without a huge investment, you can rest assured that you are actually getting a real mechanical typing experience with the Redragon for $ 30, that’s a steal.

The Redragon K580 Vata gives you an RGB mechanical keyboard without breaking the bank. However, you’ll miss things like built-in memory for multiple profiles, USB passthrough, and robust software.

The Redragon K580 Vata boasts a slim profile overall, at just 1.5 inches thick. Although its body is made of ABS plastic, the top plate of the keyboard is made of aluminum, which maintains sturdiness and limits the amount of flex. There are adjustable feet to change the height with rubber caps to prevent slipping whether the feet are folded or unfolded. The top of the keyboard, where the macro and multimedia keys live, is molded from a slightly different plastic than the base. These keys are rubber membrane keys, so this whole section feels less expensive than the rest of the keyboard. This section is completed with a metal scroll wheel with a hatched texture and tactile scrolling. There are no USB pass through ports on the keyboard at all, so the keyboard will need to take a USB Type-A port on your system. Although all the best gaming PCs have plenty of Type A connections available.

If you’re a budget-conscious gamer, the Redragon K580 Vata is worth considering. The upper part of the keyboard looks cheaper, but overall you don’t lose a ton of quality at this lower price. The aluminum top plate saves the K580 from any flex, and the reinforced stem design of Outemu Blue switches prevents the keys from shaking too much. And being able to set up macros and RGB lighting without loading any software is a boon for those who regularly move between different computers.

Redragon has entered the wireless space 60% with its affordable K530 Draconic keyboard. Redragon has pushed the price limits with this 60% wireless keyboard, it packs a ton of features while downplaying the most popular keyboards in this space like the Anne Pro 2 and competing with cards like the RK61. has to give, and while the features deliver most of the time, the actual typing experience really reflects the budget pricing of the K530.

There is clearly more good than bad about the Redragon K530 Draconic, the biggest positive being the value it offers. I have to say that with so many brands of keyboards today, there are definitely similar offerings from other brands. I can only speak for the keyboards that I have personally tested, and in that regard, I’m happy to recommend this keyboard to many keyboard enthusiasts. It ticks a lot of boxes for the general community, with the 60% form factor and interchangeable switches definitely at the top of the list, right there with the $ 65 price tag.

The inclusion of wireless functionality with mechanical keyboards has been all the rage in recent years, many of them including 2.4 GHz or Bluetooth (or both). Either way, the use of BT 5.0 is still extremely rare, so seeing it here was a pleasant surprise. Combine that with the 3000mAh battery and faster charging via the arguably better Type-C connector and we have a great wireless experience that doesn’t need a dongle and will do the job for most people who support wireless function instead of lower latency with wired or dongle based wireless keyboard.

Overall, the Redragon K530 Draconic 60% keyboard is reliable in terms of quality. It is both very functional and aesthetic. Granted, vague and awkward instruction manuals and potential difficulties for newcomers limit its wider appeal. However, with a reasonable price tag and a compact frame that’s ideal for travel, the Draconic is worth a visit for those who need a new keyboard. And it’s especially useful for those of us whose workspace is increasingly scarce and precious.
