The SteelSeries Arctis Pro Wireless are exceptional gaming headsets. They combine the connectivity options of the SteelSeries Arctis 7 Wireless 2017 and SteelSeries Arctis Pro GameDAC by including a wireless transmitter that doubles as a battery charging station, and even adds Bluetooth for good measure. This results in a highly versatile wireless gaming headset that can mix audio from a console and a mobile device at the same time. They are also comfortable and well designed. They sound versatile thanks to their customization features found on their wireless transmitter and they have a great battery system as well as a great microphone. On the other hand, like many gaming headsets, they are quite bulky and have poor isolation performance. However, these are some amazing gaming headphones.

SteelSeries is known to deliver crisp sound, but SteelSeries Arctis Pro takes things to the next level. Not only does this headset offer immersive surround sound for all the explosive action of your favorite games, but thanks to its included DAC (digital to audio converter), the Arctis Pro also serves you well when listening to your favorite music. One of the best PC gaming headsets yet, this one is a bit pricey, but if you consider how comfortable and exceptional these headsets are, well, it’s easy to see why this is the one of the best gaming headsets you can buy today. SteelSeries’ Arctis Pro + GameDAC brings audiophile-grade features to the already excellent Arctis design. As the name suggests, these headphones include a DAC (Digital to Analog Converter), which enables them to deliver 96kHz / 24-bit high-resolution sound. The GameDAC also allows for a host of customization options, whether you want to adjust the sound via an equalizer or customize the subtle RGB lighting of the headphones.

They are comfortable for multi-hour gaming sessions and you can connect your mobile devices to them via Bluetooth so you can mix music or chat on a computer while you play. Its microphone also reproduces voices very well, even in noisy environments like game tournaments, and your teammates (or enemies) should hear you clearly. You will never be out of the game for long due to the low battery life as they come with two interchangeable batteries. One battery can be charged in the wireless transmitter while using the other, and you can easily change it as needed. This is the Best Bluetooth Headset for Gaming in 2023.

The BlackShark V2 Pro is an exceptional wireless gaming headset at a premium price. The build caliber, sound quality, and battery life are commendable despite a few minor issues. THX Spatial Audio dramatically improves the audio experience, making it a huge feature. Too bad the required application further increases the cost and is not easily compatible with major devices.

The Razer Blackshark V2 is arguably the best headset Razer has ever made, and that says a lot. These mid-range wired headphones offer great sound for gaming and music, especially thanks to their innovative THX profiles. The famous movie audio company has lent its expertise to make the Blackshark V2’s surround sound realistic and nuanced, especially for a handful of games like Apex Legends and Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice, which have their own optimized profiles.

Focusing primarily on three attributes: positional audio, communication clarity, and noise cancellation, the Razer BlackShark V2 Pro is a premium wireless gaming headset in every sense of the word. It has an excellent feature set, long battery life, excellent build quality, and incredible sound quality, all of which work together to provide an incredible audio experience, whether you’re playing games or watching a movie. Next to these, the fact that it is incredibly comfortable seems like the icing on the cake.

This headset follows the same design principles as its predecessor, the BlackShark V2, sporting a matte black plastic construction that is suitable for a RGB-lit game room, or even your home office. The memory foam plush headphones are some of the most comfortable we’ve tested in a gaming headset, preventing heat build-up and providing a decent seal, even during late-night gaming sessions.

The V2 Pro is wonderfully lightweight, albeit a bit heavier than its corded counterpart, and is extremely comfortable to wear for long periods of time. While cutting chords that the wired V2 has, the V2 Pro has the same audio excellence, the same quality (and the same removable mic), the same TriForce titanium drivers that Hazer has been so successful in these headphones, and, when combined with the new (ish) THX Spatial Audio app, a whole new world of gaming audio, customization and refinement. While the V2 Pro headset itself is really cool, it’s the combination with the app that elevates it even higher.

The BlackShark V2 Pro is compatible with virtually all gaming platforms, including PC, Nintendo Switch, Xbox One, and PlayStation 4. It uses a 2.4 GHz RF USB dongle for a virtually lag-free wireless gaming experience. If desired, wired connections are still possible via the 3.5mm jack on the headset. When connected to a PC, the BlackShark V2 Pro can be controlled and customized via Razer Synapse 3, giving you access to the equalizer, microphone settings, and THX Spatial Audio.

The Kingston HyperX Cloud II is a well-built, comfortable, great-sounding gaming headset that comes with its own optional USB sound card. It’s generous with accessories and works with all computers and mobile devices, and most game systems out of the box. Its 7.1 channel surround sound is an illusion, but it is with most headphones; you just can’t get a true immersive picture close to your ears, especially when you only have two pilots.

Carrying out the fruits of HyperX Cloud’s long tradition of excellence, Cloud II features excellent sound and build quality with well-crafted essential features and no features increase the price. The stereo soundscape of this closed design is more punchy on the bass than we would normally prefer. Still, the added bass doesn’t interfere with the overall clarity, and frankly, in games and music environments, it sounds good. The 53mm one with neodymium magnets is meant to give room for the low, mid and high frequencies to resonate without interfering with each other, and is felt when listening. Elsewhere, it’s the usual impressive build quality, generous padding, clear mic, and high levels of comfort in longer gaming sessions that the Cloud II design has always delivered.

The HyperX Cloud 2 / Cloud II are an above-average gaming headset with balanced sound and a relaxed design that ensures they are not limited to indoor use. Once you remove the microphone, they can easily pass as regular headphones, although their color scheme is quite unique. They are well built, robust and comfortable. Their wired design and low latency make them suitable for gaming and watching movies. However, their lack of noise suppression makes them less than ideal for commuting or traveling.

The SteelSeries Arctis 9 is a worthy, if more expensive, follow-up to the SteelSeries Arctis 7. Like the Arctis 7, the Arctis 9 connects to the PS4, PC, and connected Switch via a wireless dongle, as well as’ to Xbox One and Portable Switch via 3.5mm audio cable. But unlike the Arctis 7, the Arctis 9 also works wonderfully with mobile devices, thanks to its Bluetooth connectivity. With a long battery life, effortless wireless connectivity, and good sound quality for gaming, the Arctis 9 is an easy recommendation. Just keep in mind that the music doesn’t sound great, at least not unless you’re ready to dive into the SteelSeries Engine software and do some manual tweaking. Having three separate wireless connection profiles is a bit tricky too, especially compared to the straightforward USB-C dongle in the SteelSeries Arctis 1 wireless headphones.

Regardless of what you listen to with the Arctis 9X Wireless Gaming Headphones, there aren’t any of the muddy or audio artifacts that have historically plagued other wireless boxes. In essence, it sounds as good as the best corded models we tested at the same price. The distinctive ski goggle tape from the Arctis range is effective in keeping the weight of the helmet off the head. After 12 months of daily wear, the headband has come loose, allowing for a looser and slightly less comfortable fit, but the bands themselves are replaceable. We’re also big fans of the control slots on the back of the headphones: mic mute and volume wheel on the left, chat / game mixing, and headphone on / off on the right. The retractable microphone is a bit quiet, but it can still be used perfectly. The extraordinary battery life comes in at over 30 hours out of the box, and after nearly a year of heavy use, that number has barely decreased. These SteelSeries headphones are ideal for delivering the best sound without the need for a bank loan.

If you want your headset to connect to your Xbox console without the need for a bulky base station, get the SteelSeries Arctis 9X. While they aren’t as comfortable as the 2019 Astro A50 Gen 4 Wireless and don’t deliver as smooth sound, they do use Xbox Wireless technology to connect to compatible devices, just like an Xbox controller that doesn’t. so you don’t have to worry about plugging in a dongle to use them. They are also Bluetooth enabled, allowing you to chat with friends or stream music from your phone while gaming. The battery life of around 28 hours is also considerably longer than that of the Astro, so you shouldn’t have to worry about recharging them as often. That said, its non-Bluetooth audio latency is somewhat high for a pair of gaming headphones.

The Razer Nari Ultimate sits at the top of the Razer headphone stack, it’s really great. What sets this one apart from its siblings and the competition are the haptic controllers that provide modulated feedback to make you feel like you are in the game rather than just receiving its audio. Combine that with amazing audio clarity and bass, and you’ve got superb immersive quality. In single player experiences in particular, Nari Ultimate adds an extra dimension to your game that you would never have experienced before. Considering the customization and tweaking options you can make with Razer’s Synapse software and THX’s Spatial Audio app, the already excellent audio and immersion can still be improved. A top of the line helmet, of course, but one that you will never return to after purchasing it.

It eschews many customization features traditionally linked to software in favor of buttons and scroll wheels found natively on the headset itself. On the left side, you’ll find a microphone mute button and game / chat balance control dial, while behind the right ear there is a volume control button and a garage for storing your 2-wire USB drive. , 4 GHz. Wireless support is a bit of a disappointment as it’s only supported by PC and PS4, but those who also have an Xbox or Switch aren’t completely left behind as a 4.3ft 3ft cable. 5mm is also included.

One thing we’d say is that we wish Razer maybe spent a bit more time investing in better dynamic controllers for its more premium options. The 20Hz to 20kHz range seems a bit flat, and when you have Steelseries, HyperX, and Sennheiser delivering really stellar audio solutions at this price point and below, it deflates how awesome these things can be. . Yes, there may be an additional charge, but if we’re honest it would be worth it.

The Razer Nari Ultimate is a good wireless gaming headset. They are comfortable and well built, but they are very bulky and have little stability. They have a rich bass sound profile, although they are very inconsistent between users, so different people are likely to experience their bass very differently. They have unique features, like Razer’s HyperSense, which is a haptic feedback system that transmits vibrations or grunts to the user. While this helps you immerse yourself in your games, it can get tiring after a while. The 5 hour battery life is very disappointing and they cannot be used passively as they require a battery even when wired. Its retractable boom mic is just decent, and your voice is thin and lacking in brightness. On the plus side, they have very low wireless latency when used with their little USB receiver.
