Do you prefer to stick to the basics? There is no reason not to buy the Microsoft Surface keyboard for surface pro. The standard keyboard is a Bluetooth-compliant keyboard with support for a minimum of Bluetooth 4.0. It is also compatible with Windows and Mac OS. The keyboard at the top of our list is suitable for the Surface Pro 3, Surface Pro 4, and Surface Pro. It comes in multiple color options, making it easy for you to choose one. With a trackpad, precise control is certainly possible. Magnetic stability is also at the top. The dimensions of this keyboard are 11.6 “x 8.5” x 0.19 “and it can protect your screen from bumps and scratches. So when it comes to precise operation, this pro keyboard surface won’t let you down.

At 8.6 x 11.6 x 0.19 inches (HWD) in size, the Surface Pro Type Cover is larger than the previous Type Cover, which measures 7 x 11 x 0.22 inches. The larger size is due to the new tablet’s larger 12-inch screen and a wider screen aspect ratio of 3: 2, but the effect on typing comfort is pronounced. The larger keyboard offers more room for hands to move and allows for larger and larger keys, measuring 0.72 inches square instead of the 0.72 square inches of the old Keyboard Cover. The 0.3-inch difference in bezel thickness seems negligible, and for the most part it is, except when folded as a screen cover, where it allows for a slightly thinner profile on all.

In addition to compatibility, Microsoft claims that the keyboard design complements its Surface Pro 4. It matches both the case and other accessories. Additional details include height, pitch and clearance for comfortable and precise writing. The keys also mimic a real keyboard. They’re stiff and raised for a good grip, but the bumps are quiet. Finally, because Microsoft designed it, it includes essential Microsoft keys. It also has search and settings keys. These functions seem clunky, but many users find them useful.

What do people who own it say about their Surface keyboard? Several say it replaces their current keyboard and even gave them a chance to finally recall higher-end Apple keyboards that used to wear worse. They also like that the keyboard can withstand a full workload. It is not a lightweight keyboard that you only use when you need it. Many find it sturdy and versatile enough to become their permanent keyboard.

  • Sleek and simple design

Microsoft Surface Keyboard is a good wireless Bluetooth keyboard for business use. It has an exceptional build quality and provides a great typing experience. It has a low profile that is comfortable to type on and its scissor switches provide good tactile feedback. Unfortunately, there is no backlight and there are no programmable keys. It requires the use of disposable batteries, which may be disappointing for some, but most people should be happy with its overall performance.

The build quality is exceptional. It has a plastic bottom and an aluminum lid. The keyboard is slightly bent, but you shouldn’t have a problem with long-term durability. It is very light and the battery cover is held magnetically. It looks a lot more premium than Microsoft’s Bluetooth keyboard. Surface Keyboard is a wireless Bluetooth keyboard that uses disposable AAA batteries. The battery life is advertised to be up to 12 months, but it is not something we are testing. If you’re working on multiple devices at the same time and need a keyboard with multiple device pairing capabilities, check out the Keychron K4.

The keyboard has multimedia control keys that are shared with the function keys. The keys are set for multimedia control by default and you must use the “fn” key to use the function keys. There are also keys to access Windows settings, calculator, brightness, task view, and notifications. The writing quality is excellent. It looks a lot like the Apple Magic Keyboard, but with a slightly greater travel distance. The keys are well-spaced, which is great for precision typing, and typing is light despite the strong tactile bump. The keys are stable and responsive and shouldn’t cause fatigue over time.

Microsoft 3RA-00022 Surface...
  • Compatible with Surface Pro 4, Surface Book, Surface Studio
  • Natural arc and slope
  • Double-cushioned palm rest covered in stunning Alcantara

The ergonomic Microsoft Surface Keyboard is an excellent desktop keyboard designed to promote a natural typing position. It enhances the popular split keyboard layout by giving it the same premium material and build quality as other Microsoft Surface products. It is very comfortable to write. However, features like multiple device pairing, softkeys, and backlighting are conspicuously absent. The keyboard layout needs some adaptation, but if you’re willing to give it a try, it can be beneficial in the long run.

The ergonomics are excellent. It has a split keyboard and a ‘dome’ design that aims to promote a more natural alignment of the wrists and forearms when typing. Unlike the ergonomic Microsoft Sculpt keyboard, it has no tilt adjustment and is designed to lie flat on the table. The wrist rest is integrated and covered with Alcantara, which is very comfortable to write on. If you prefer a true split keyboard layout that allows you to adjust the two halves independently, check out the Dygma Raise.

Surface is a sleek, ergonomic keyboard and a welcome addition to the Microsoft family. Like many ergonomic keyboards, it is designed to help your wrists sit at a comfortable, instinctive angle that encourages natural movement to prevent repetitive strain injury. The keys have a small indentation in the center so that the fingers naturally conform to their shape, making them comfortable and easy to type. Surface has function keys to pause multimedia, skip forward or backward in multimedia, increase or decrease the volume, mute the volume, increase the brightness or decrease the brightness, and much more. It really seems like Microsoft has thought about all the ways its users interact with keyboards and has tried to meet their needs.

The typing experience on this keyboard is excellent. Although it has high actuation force to overcome tactile bump, the overall feel is light and does not cause fatigue. It takes a while to get used to the keyboard layout, so you may make a few more typos at first. It looks like a mix of Microsoft Surface keyboard and Logitech ERGO K860 wireless split keyboard.

The Microsoft Surface Ergonomic Keyboard is a quality wireless ergonomic keyboard that is well worth the investment if you spend a lot of time typing on your computer. Of course this is insane, but it is worth the price for the quality you receive.
